About Texas Medicinals

Texas Medicinals is an herbalist-owned company specializing in therapeutic herbal products made with fresh organic and wildharvested herbs. Although we use herbs from many parts of the world, we are particularly fond of using our native Texas plants and naturalized medicinal and edible weeds. Our herbal teas, made with organic herbs, are delicious as well as therapeutic. Our medicinal tinctures are made with fresh organic and/or wild herbs and organic alcohol from a microdistillery.

Ginger Web

Ginger Webb is an herbalist who specializes in the medicinal and edible uses of regional native and naturalized wildflowers, weeds, trees & shrubs, cacti, and a few mushrooms. She began selling her herbal medicine in Austin, Texas, back in 1999 under the name Texas Medicinals. Among the hats she wears as an herbalist, she particularly likes taking people on wild plant walks, and meeting with them one-on-one to address health concerns.

Ginger is an alum of the Southwest School of Botanical Medicine in Bisbee, Arizona, taught by herbalist and author Michael Moore, and of the apprenticeship program taught by Sage Mauer of the Gaia School of Natural Healing and Earth Education.

Ginger’s husband, John Cazares, owns and operates La Botanica Green & White in East Austin. Formerly the Green & White Grocery, John’s grandfather, Norberto Lopez, built this business over 75 years ago. It is an East Austin institution. No longer a grocery store, La Botanica is a resource for religious and spiritual practices.

Ginger and John have a gorgeous aspiring herbalist/artist/rockstar daughter, 7+ year old Chia.
