Medicinal & Edible Wild Plant Surveys
From Ginger Webb, herbalist and owner of Texas Medicinals:
One of our missions at Texas Medicinals is to help people reconnect with the wild plants around them. Reconnecting with wild plants may occur in many ways, on many levels. One very practical way is by learning the plants’ names and how to incorporate them into daily life.
I am very happy to be able to offer a unique and valuable service to those of you who would like to know the wild plants growing on your property. If you own or live on a piece of land, in the city or in the country, I will come out and walk around with you, identifying wild plants of potential interest to you.
Alternately, we can meet at a pre-determined location in Austin for the same service, but in a public place (e.g. a park or botanical garden).
With a focus on the medicinal and/or edible aspects (your choice: we can focus on one, the other, or both), I will speak in practical terms about how you can begin using the plants, whether its by eating them, cooking with them, drying them and drinking them as tea, making medicine with them, burning them as smudge, or even incorporating them into a new cottage industry of your own.
Introductory price for a two-hour visit: $150.
